Qualification Checklist
Relevant engineering qualification or engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar
Hands-on experience in development or testing of complex systems, preferably involving extreme operating conditions such as cryogenic temperatures, high pressures, or high temperatures. Such experience can come from either relevant positions held or internships, clubs, and other extracurricular activities
Capable of designing fluid and mechanical systems from theoretical concept to realisation and commissioning
Able to perform in high-stress environments, maintaining focus and concentration for long durations
Physical dexterity is required as working in confined spaces is necessary. Able to lift and carry 25kg
Fluent in English

Bonus Skills
Hands-on experience with fluid systems and piping/tubing
Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Matlab, C, C#, Cobol...)

Mission Brief
As the Lead Technician at our rocket engine test site in Kiruna you will lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians in operating, maintaining, and upgrading our test facilities. Your Role in Our Space Mission:
Have direct personnel responsibility for a team of electricians and technicians and oversee their day-to-day activities
Ensure activities performed by the team are safe and in accordance with applicable regulations
Ensure team members have the requisite training and competence to perform their work
Have the necessary maintenance and calibration performed on facilities, test rig, tooling, and equipment utilized by the team
Lead and contribute to the creation and updating of operational procedures for activities such as commissioning, pressure testing, and engine hotfire
Take part in short- and long-term personnel and financial planning for all aspects of operation of the site, including test operations, engine and component handling, and maintenance
Lead and support troubleshooting of both test facility and engine issues
Maintain records of activities performed by the team in accordance with applicable regulations and company policy
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by proactively identifying and implementing ideas and improvements
When necessary directly support the team by taking part in tasks and test operations as needed

Qualification Checklist
At least 5 years of experience in a technical hands-on role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position

Practical working experience with hazardous systems and environments such as cryogenics, pyrophorics and explosive atmospheres
Practical working experience with high pressure gas systems including assembly, commissioning & leak checking, and operation

Your Role in Our Space Mission:
Develop PLC software for existing and future control systems in Kiruna
Design PLC hardware setups and PLC-related networks
Perform risk analyses and design safety-critical electrical systems
Commission control systems and maintain/upgrade them
Be responsible for hardware and software related topics on site
Perform rocket engine tests as part of the local test engineering and operations team

Qualification Checklist
Either a degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or similar, or a certified engineer in automation technology
2+ years of experience in automation and PLC technology
Fluent in English
Experience in the field of PLC programming (soft-PLC) and commissioning preferably using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or CODESYS based systems
Experience in giving technical support and troubleshooting in the field and remotely
Knowledge about fieldbus systems
Basic understanding of electrical schematics

THE MISSION

Requirements
WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE
Musts:
Degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or similar, or a certified engineer (‘staatlich geprüfter Techniker’) in automation technology
Experience in the field of PLC programming (soft-PLC) and commissioning, preferably using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or CODESYS based systems

Your Mission

Who you are and what you have
Relevant engineering qualification or engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar
Hands-on experience in development or testing of complex systems, preferably involving extreme operating conditions such as cryogenic temperatures, high pressures, or high temperatures. Such experience can come from either relevant positions held, or internships, clubs, and other extra-curricular activities
Capable of designing fluid and mechanical systems from theoretical concept to realisation and commissioning
Able to perform in high-stress environments, maintaining focus and concentration for long durations
Physical dexterity is required as working in confined spaces is necessary. Able to lift and carry 25kg
Fluent in English

Nice to Have:
Hands-on experience with fluid system and piping/tubing

THE MISSION

THE MISSION
The Controls & Automation Engineer will maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade the control system of our rocket engine test facility near Kiruna (Sweden) and will be the technical responsible for both software and hardware elements of the control system. There will be close collaboration with our Munich control systems team for work on both this facility, and other future projects. The Controls & Automation Engineer will be involved in day to day test operations, and will work alongside Propulsion Test Engineers to operate the facility. It is expected that there will be a close connection to the other Test Engineers, and development of a deep understanding of facility systems and requirements.
More specifically, you will:
Develop PLC software for existing and future control systems in Kiruna
Design PLC hardware setups and PLC-related networks
Perform risk analyses and design safety-critical electrical systems
Commission control systems and maintain/upgrade them
Be the responsible for hardware and software related topics
Perform rocket engine tests as part of the local test engineering and operations team

Requirements

Musts:
Degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or similar, or a certified engineer (‘staatlich geprüfter Techniker’) in automation technology

Musts:
Relevant engineering qualification/engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree in the fields of aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar
Availability to work on flexible working hours
Hands-on experience and willingness to perform manual tasks
In-depth knowledge about rocket propulsion systems
Capability to work under pressure and staying focused on multiple tasks at the same time
Experience in hardware testing (preferably in the aerospace sector), particularly in test data acquisition, reduction and evaluation
Passionate about new space, curious and eager to learn
Driven to deliver and constantly push the boundaries
Take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes
Humble and willing to go out of your way to help others
Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
Fluent English

DITT UPPDRAG
Ditt huvuduppdrag är att tillsammans med testingenjörerna konstruera elsystemet till företagets provanläggning för raketer med flytande bränsle samt elsystemet för en verkstad.
Detta innefattar kabeldragning, installation av kopplingsskåp samt att ansluta sensorer efter angivet kopplingsschema. Efter uppbyggnadsfasen kommer dina uppgifter även bestå av att bistå testingenjörerna under prover med prototyper av kompletta raketmotorer och dess delar samt underhåll av elsystemen.

DINA FÖRMÅGOR
· Tidigare arbetslivserfarenhet eller praktik inom elektronik, elsystem eller liknande
· Erfarenhet med 24V DC samt 230/400V AC
· Ett intresse av rymdbranschen och en ambition att lära dig mer

THE MISSION
The Propulsion Test Engineer will be part of a team that is performing development and verification tests on liquid rocket engines and their subsystems on a dedicated test bench. In addition, the person takes care of test preparation, maintenance and upgrades of the test bench. The involvement in the development of further test stands and launch pads is likely.
More specifically, you will:
Plan and conduct rocket engine test campaigns together with propulsion development engineers
Ensure safe operations by using and developing procedures and processes

THE MISSION
The primary purpose of the role is to oversee and maintain all aspects of the company’s computer infrastructure. This includes maintaining networks, servers and security programs and systems.


More specifically, you will:

• Manage the upgrade and installation of new hardware and software.
• Perform troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems and assess viruses and potential threats to the company’s network.
• Make suggestions for improvements to our computer systems, backup data and perform data recovery as needed.
• Assisting co-workers with everyday IT needs.



Requirements


WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE

• You should have a BSc or MSc Degree
• Experience in a similar role in Windows/Linux client and server administration.
• Experience with computer networks (Router, Firewall, VPN, VOPI) and IT security.
• Working knowledge of the following scripting languages is nice to have, but not an absolute requirement: Bash/Powershell, Python/PHP and software packages like Apache, databases, LDAP, Active Directory, chef.
• Highly organized and proactive with high attention to detail.
• Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Fluent English. Swedish knowledge is a plus.
