About the position
The Exploration department at LKAB is in an expansive phase, with responsibilities in and around our mines in Malmberget, Kiruna and Svappavaara. Greenfield exploration is also carried out with focus on iron ore deposits under cover, for which geophysics is an essential component. The company is therefore strengthening our geophysics group.
As a geophysicist at the Exploration department you should expect to take part in all aspects of geophysical surveys, with work duties including survey planning, geophysical fieldwork, data processing, interpretation and report writing. You will work together with geologists, technicians, drillers, and other geophysicists, sometimes from external organizations.
